First video on youtube
After some experimenting in After effects, I have found a few movements that could be applied to my 'fold' text.
To produce the Concertin effect. The text needs to be cut up into individual vertical strips using photoshop. Also adding a white background, to act like paper folding. This new file was then opened in After Effects. With some help form Mike, I learnt how to move each anchor point, then rotate each vertical strip to time. As i wanted each strip to correspond to the next without splitting, Mike showed me how to attach them via the 'parent' tool. so they were all attached as well as move freely. see video below to make more sense of it.
I will be making changes to the start and ending, also add moving shading to make it appear more '3D'. The timings need to be changed to.
to access this video and future clips on 'you tube' by me. search pearlbagd.
16/12/09 this video is no longer on you tube. I've replaced it with a much better version :-)
